As a leader in Structural Health Monitoring and civil engineering solutions, Digitex is proud to announce its updated version of xSense!
This time, Digitex elevated the xSense system to a 24-bit high-precision digitalization. Now, it enables seamless integration with third party sensors that utilize industrial-standard 0-24mA current loop outputs.
Additionally, xSense now supports multiple PT100 and PT1000 probes. This way, it delivers exceptional accuracy and stability for temperature measurement applications.
Safety and risk-detection are Digitex’s top strategy builders! Here you’ll find out how xSense aligns exactly with this strategy and guarantees you building safety and structural consistency!
The Latest xSense Capabilities
Even though our digital accelerometer – xWave – is the magic worker of our SHM system, many on-site installations also require additional data streams. The most common ones are temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, inclination, air blast, and corrosion indicators.
Previously, our xSense distributed digitizer supported only third-party sensors with voltage outputs. Now, we’re excited to announce new capabilities for xSense, enabling it to support a broader range of sensors, including:
- Voltage Output Sensors – High-resolution 24-bit sensors capable of measuring up to ±10 V, suitable for accurate voltage-output sensors.
- Current Output Sensors – Ideal for industrial applications where 4–20 mA signals are standard.
- RTD Sensors (PT100 and PT1000) – Widely used for precise temperature monitoring in various environments.
These enhancements empower users to seamlessly integrate xSense with virtually any third-party transducer—merging vital parameters with xWave’s vibration data and other Digitex sensor inputs.
From measuring structural displacement to environmental conditions, xSense serves as a flexible hub, consolidating data in a single, user-friendly platform.
What’s in It for You?
With our expanded xSense capabilities, Digitex Systems continues to push the boundaries of structural health monitoring, offering engineers and asset owners the flexibility to capture the data they need in real time.
Whether you’re seeking high-precision vibration insights from xWave or a wealth of auxiliary data through xSense, our integrated SHM solutions ensure every project is supported by the best technology.
The updated xSense is yet another SHM component that can be crucial during civil engineering endeavors and consistent structure-related risk detection.
