Challenge

Provide a multi-parameter monitoring solution for a large bridge, capable of tracking acceleration, strain, displacement, tilt, and visual inspection in a seismically sensitive and environmentally demanding region.

Solution

The installation consisted of two 24-bit RTMS-WM systems, with a total of 57 channels, including:

  • 4 channels of acceleration
  • 36 channels of foil strain gauges
  • 12 channels of vibration wire strain gauges
  • 7 channels of vibration wire displacement sensors
  • 2 channels of non-vibrating wire tilt meters
  • 4 channels of vibrating wire tilt meters
  • 6 camera channels for visual inspection

Outcomes

The system provided a complete view of bridge performance under operational and environmental loads. By integrating acceleration, strain, displacement, tilt, and visual data, operators gained robust insights into structural behavior, improving maintenance planning, operational safety, and long-term resilience of the Oceanic Bridge.
