Welcome to our latest blog post, where we’re excited to tell you about one of our most important projects that serves as an example of the innovation and impact of our Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) solutions. This project highlights our technical prowess and underlines our commitment to enhancing safety and sustainability in critical infrastructures.

Advanced Monitoring System: The 12-Channel RTR

At Bulgaria’s Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, Digitex Systems has been instrumental in elevating structural safety. We have implemented a sophisticated 12-channel RTR system meticulously tailored for monitoring the structural response of the High-Oscillation Generation (HOG) site. This system exemplifies the plant’s commitment to safety. It showcases the advanced technology and expertise brought in by Digitex, affirming our dedication to ensuring safe and sustainable operational environments in critical infrastructures.

Real-Time Alerts and Safety Measures

Key elements of this system include standard GPS timing, ensuring synchronized data collection across all channels. In the event of an earthquake, the system is programmed to send automatic SMS and email notifications to a list of subscribed users, ensuring prompt and effective communication during critical moments.

Seismic Data Visualization and Processing

Moreover, the system is designed to automatically turn off heavy machinery at the site during seismic events, minimizing potential hazards. The recorded seismic events are visualized on a dedicated website and undergo automatic processing to extract multiple parameters such as Peak Acceleration (PA), Peak Velocity (PV), Peak Displacement (PD), Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Cumulative Absolute Velocity (CAV), etc.

Comprehensive Seismic Event Archiving

Another critical feature is the automatic report generation in the form of PDF documents, providing detailed analysis of seismic events. The data is carefully archived in an SQL database, allowing for an easy and chronological search of all recorded seismic events via the web server.

This comprehensive approach to seismic monitoring showcases Digitex’s dedication to innovation in structural health monitoring, ensuring the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant operates with the highest safety standards.
