Digital Alarming Unit

xAlarm digital alarmint unit

xAlarm® is a digital alarming and remote relay unit that enhances the Digitex Sentry System with advanced real‑time alerting capabilities. Moreover, the xAlarm allows critical infrastructure operators to automatically trigger sirens, lights, lifts, ramps, and other systems in response to structural events while also notifying stakeholders via SMS, email, and log records. Unlike typical Structural Health Monitoring systems, xAlarm provides distributed alarming, supporting multiple units to be deployed at different locations within the same monitoring network.

Additionally, the xAlarm in a rugged IP67 aluminum housing is a structural safety alarm for permanent installation in harsh environments, operating from ‑40°C to +55°C. Furthermore, the integration with Voyager® software ensures seamless configuration, monitoring, and event management.

The xAlarm unit enables configurable relay outputs and optional SMS alarming for critical event responses in condition monitoring. Depending on system requirements, each xAlarm can have 4 embedded relays or be extended to 10 relays through an external relay box. Additionally, these relays are user‑programmable in Voyager, allowing different outputs to be mapped to specific triggers, such as Levelling, STA/LTA, Above Max, Below Min, Relative triggers, or advanced OMA‑based events.

Also, the integrated GSM modem allows the digital alarm to send SMS notifications to up to 10 predefined contacts. SMS can be triggered automatically during events, scheduled at defined intervals, or sent manually. In addition, the digital alarming unit provides email notifications and a quick report, which provides a complete multi‑channel alarming framework.

Lastly, multiple xAlarm digital alarm units can be distributed across a single Sentry System deployment, enabling complex event responses across different points of a structure or site. For example, one unit may trigger local sirens, while another activates barrier gates, both synchronized by Voyager.
